CLIENT:
THE SPENT HEN
The Spent Hen is a small new company on a big mission. This street food vendor serves only Spent Hen meat. So, instead of the hormone pumped chicken, we get at our local supermarket The Spent Hen serves organic hen meat that would have grown to full size and lived a satisfying life. These former egg-laying Hens have a distinct flavour and are much better for you!
They needed a logo and a website that reflected an organic and rustic feel. Delivered.

LOGO DESIGN – THE CONCEPT.
Rationale
You think high-quality street food, you think rustic, printed style logo’s. Well, at least that’s what came to my mind when approaching this. I wanted this logo to look cool and organic.
Being a street food vendor supplying only organic products, it made sense to use colours like brown and cream. Generally, though, we associate organic products with the colour green, but as this is a place that serves meat, the colour brown seemed to fit more naturally. Nonetheless, we explored another option to see how people would respond.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?

As the company grows the site will evolve. The very nature of the company is that it will be on the move throughout different food markets in London so with the Instagram live feed, the company will be able to share what they’re up to every day.
